Two clients a season.

On why we work with no more than eight clients a year, and how we pick.

We made a rule when we opened the studio: two new clients a season, no more. Four seasons a year. Eight projects, total. This is not a marketing position. It is a tax bracket and a sleep schedule.

We choose work that lets us think about something for at least eight weeks. That excludes most small jobs, most rush jobs, and almost every "logo refresh" in our inbox. It leaves us with what we can love: identity systems, websites that take ten weeks to write, books, magazines.

It also means our calendar fills six months ahead. If you wrote to us last month, you are probably on the list for autumn 2026. We will write back before then.
